Telus customers are getting migrated to use gmail for their telus webmail in stages It still shows up as my personal email but i just use google's smtp server to send it. This means you can soon start to drag & drop photos/videos/documents into an email

I understand that telus email is using gmail When i do i as im told. I'm trying to setup a telus email in outlook, and need to know the right server settings What are the port numbers and authentication types required

With the gmail migration, my understanding is that it basically means i end up with a new gmail account where my username is my old telus email address, and telus arranges migrating over my existing data (inbox etc) While you are trying to sort out the email client issue you can always check your email on a browser It would be good to do that just to make sure there isn't a problem with your account The telus (google) mail password and your my telus password are not necessarily the same

So my main google account is directly linked to my telus webmail account (i put in my telus email as my username/email when logging into my google account), and i'm worried that moving everything to gmail will negatively affect/possibly compromise my google account.
