I’ve been lying to my husband about working overtime… meguri Satoko’s completely ruined character that's still wrong though. Well, meguri started by doing a much better transition from matsuribayashi to the st.lucia set up than the anime did, which instantly earned that praise, even addressing hanyuu's situation, something that often seemed to be overlooked even way before gou/sotsu.

Also, does meguri retread a lot of gou/sotsu’s story Meguri satoko is very one note and she also lost her internal struggle she had in sotsu, which may not have amounted to much in the end, but at least it was something she had to deal with that wasn't just injecting people Do you think meguri is better or worse than those anime?
I think what meguri is focusing on as satoko's flaw is her being tied to the past
Note that even at the start, she's shown embracing rika's dream because she felt directionless regarding her previous dream (satoshi returning, when rena asks her about it and she looks at the cards) In the end, she embraces rika's dream However, going to st.lucia just attempting to keep her relationship with. We're not quite at the end but i definitely think it's worth reading, it does some things pretty differently from sotsu
I really like some of the changes, but i'm indifferent on others Whether it's better than sotsu is subjective of course, but due to how certain arcs were changed i much prefer meguri as a whole so far. Meguri doesn’t take a sledgehammer to its tone and actually feels like an ending to higurashi No magical girls or cross fragment fights, just the club doing everything they can to save rika and satoko.
Meguri's rika sees the value in every world (see her comment about knowing keiichi would deny her request and how that'd hurt even though she expected it) and if she is slow, it's all due to those bonds/emotions, but she's actually still acting and persisting.
Now with that said, why was meguri disappointing I loved meguri better than sotsu, because the plot was made better, characters and setup made better. It's available in both anime and manga (though manga diverges quite a bit starting with the third arc, complete with a new manga series ongoing named meguri)
