I have a 2016 malibu lt and like many others have the p1101 pop up every other month How do i turn off auto stop chevy malibu 2015? I read the forums and did the usual change the maf and cleaned throttle body several times
The code would clear but come back in a few weeks Unplug the sensor and the car will always think the hood is open permanently disabling the stop/start function here's the link Car runs fine with check engine on so i just ignore until i get to.

I have a 2013 chevy malibu that stalls out when at stop light or at a stop it doesn’t instantly die like you turned it off with the key it dies like it lost something no check engine light it used to accelerate fine but now it has a little trouble sometimes it drives fine in a cold start for. Welcome to chevy malibu forum So i turn on my car when i push in the brake there’s a clicking noise i can hear beneath the shifter Then when i put the car in drive and go to take off either reverse or forward the car jerks and car engine shuts off!
