Today after connecting and downloading transactions i received a msg that fidelity was changing their connection with quicken and a new connection needed to be updated. These show up as taxable transactions in the tax reports. The new fidelity interface has totally screwed up my fidelity accounts Using fidelity dc connection, quicken clearly showed taxable reinvested dividends for an investment account that has a linked cash account as transactions in the investment register with the action = reindiv It won't recognize my ira accounts and insists on creating new accounts

It also downloads lots of old transactions on my other accounts which are a pain to delete

Let me start with fidelity I was unable to get the new connectivity to work properly, and when the latest patch for that came out, i applied it and then restored about a week hoping it would fix the problem. Fidelity investments has made changes to the way it shares money market/cash transactional information with quicken users on mac and windows. Fidelity investments has 2 different financial institution setups for downloading into quicken

This is a new connection setup since dec 2023 and it uses the ewc+ connection method.

My workaround to the problem was to uncheck my fidelity account from the one step account list and run a separate update just for the fidelity account.
