I have a tall/thin rocket with a fineness (aka aspect ratio or length to diameter ratio) of ~26 (80” long 3.1” diameter) Hello everyone, i would like to introduce you to a gyroscopic stabilization system which i made.the system is designed to prevent the rocket from rolling As currently configured, it has a stability margin of 3.7/14.6% in openrocket

The rocket will be updated to allow it to use 24mm e motors and have ttw fins Engines, recovery, electronics, rocketry software. Doug bertelsen and boyce aerospace hobbies have worked on the 3d printing of the camera
I'm hoping that the files will be posted for everyone to enjoy soon
Estes cinerocdv and omega (redshifted) (modified 1974 catalog photo markings) Hi, i'm curious is there a recommended ratio of rocket length to diameter for the most efficient design? For example, this will not be the desired result if the rocket comes out of the pad and after it spins around a bit and stabilizes the angle at which it rotates How can i determine the correct choice of canards for a rocket going 2 mach
It is really difficult to guess how the canards selected with the created program control the rocket. I hope this post finds you all soaring high in your rocketry adventures I'm a high school student currently navigating through the fascinating world of water rocketry for my research paper My focus is on the optimization of water rocket fins in terms of their size.
Spray outdoors or with a ventilated paint booth and respirator indoors
I do almost all of my spray can painting outdoors* (even in freezing weather) This is because many of my rockets are larger than a model kit, so if spraying indoors it would take a large amount of ventilation and a big spray booth. Long story short i just got my level 1 over the weekend and flew it low and slow But now i might like to reach for the stars as it were lol
I'm terrified of losing my rocket though and am contemplating investing in some sort of tracking system I know these egg timers are suggested but yes. Model rocketry enthusiast forum & rocket for sale classifieds Rocketry forums for experts & beginners
